Digital Scam
Prevention
Project Manager | Spring 2025 | Team of 3
Team of 3 created a UX interactive journey where users learn by making an intentional error about digital scams and get access to educational tools to further prevent digital interactions that could compromise privacy and safety.
Tips: In order for the user to get to the Smart Junior tutorial page, he needs to spend a few seconds on the landing page while also scrolling through.
2. Exploration & Learning:
About 7 seconds into reading and scrolling the page, he gets distracted by a sudden banner pop-up. It says that his computer may have a virus that could compromise some of his private information and urges the user to click on the button that says:

Being concerned about the consequences, he clicks on the button, and the screen gradually blacks out. The teenager is perplexed. A few seconds later, to his relief, the user is taken to the official Netsmart Junior tutorial page that provides useful tips on how to stay safe and not to fall prey to digital threats and traps.
3. Consideration & Action:
As the user scrolls down the page, they have an option to contact experts by filling out the form to receive more support. Through this experience, the teenager learns a valuable lesson that will make him a more cautious and prudent internet user in the long run.
User Journey Stages
1. Interest & Discovery
A high schooler sees a flashy reel on his Instagram feed that says:
He is intrigued by the message because he has a high school crush whom henever got the chance to approach, worrying of rejection and mockery.
The teenager clicks on the call-to-actionreel’s button that says:

He taps on it and it takes him to a compelling article with great tips on how to approach a crush and sweep her of her feet.
